Given Q Davis

Given Q Davis (he/they) is a poet, performer, and community magic-maker.

His work was awarded 1st place by the Oregon Poetry Association in 2023 and he attended residencies with Pentaculum at Arrowmont School of Arts & Craft (TN) and the Interstate Firehouse Cultural Center, where they began the PDX Black Trans Poetry Anthology.

Given runs Queer Poetry Takeover–an audaciously queer poetry literary group with a monthly open mic featuring a guest reader every 4th Wednesday at Always Here Books in North Portland.

In February 2026, Given released his first poetry chapbook Feeding of Tomorrow's Soil and co-founded edging/press to continue uplifting the work of queer, trans, and BIPOC writers and artists.
