In honor of Josie Mendoza, the Mendoza Cafe at Literary Arts created two summer specials that celebrate her legacy at this organization, inspired by her Cuban heritage.
Our amazing cafe Food and Beverage Manager AJ Gravatt and our Food and Beverage Assistant Manager, Miah Meyers, crafted these yummy treats for you to enjoy:

Guava and Cream Cheese Latte
A tropical syrup made from real guava puree, topped with cold cream cheese foam to recreate the flavors of the beloved Cuban pastry Pastelitos de Guayaba y Queso.Â
Cafe con Leche
Our Cafe Con Leche is a perfectly sweet and frothy warm drink that will combat the hot summer days. Unlike a regular latte, espresso is poured over sugar to caramelize, then frothed vigorously to create the perfect foam, topped with steamed milk.
These specials will be available all summer long! Stop by 716 Grand Ave, Portland, OR 97214 before they are gone.
