WITS Students Share Work at In-Person Readings

WITS students at Parkrose High School and Franklin High School read their work in their school libraries this past week. WITS writers Mark Pomeroy, Monika Cassel, and alex behr shared their work with the students they taught at Franklin. Eight students shared their work, some of which is featured below. One of the Franklin students, Gigi Bareilles, was a #Virtualandia finalist in 2021. Gigi read a piece written in Mark Pomeroy’s class with Franklin partner teacher Dana Vinger.

At Parkrose, WITS writer Emilly Prado read her own work and students’ work along with students from the two residencies she taught there. Parkrose teacher Josh Bott shared his own poetry. Three Parkrose students read their own work, and Josh and Emilly read for two others.
