Aimee Nezhukumatathil is the author of the illustrated book of essays World of Wonders: In Praise of Fireflies, Whale Sharks, & Other Astonishments, a New York Times bestseller and a finalist for the Kirkus Prize and the Southern Book Prize. An award-winning poet, her four collections are Oceanic, Lucky Fish, At the Drive-In Volcano, and Miracle Fruit. She is the coauthor of the chapbook Lace & Pyrite, with poet Ross Gay. Among her many accolades are a Pushcart Prize, a Guggenheim Fellowship, and a poetry fellowship from the National Endowment of the Arts. Nezhukumatathil is the poetry editor at SIERRA, and a former editor at Orion. Her work has appeared in American Poetry Review, The New York Times Magazine, and Poetry. She is a professor of English and Creative Writing at the University of Mississippi.
