ON THE NINTH SEASON OF THE ARCHIVE PROJECT, ENJOY DISCUSSIONS FROM PORTLAND ARTS & LECTURES, PORTLAND BOOK FESTIVAL, AND OTHER COMMUNITY EVENTS FROM OUR HOME IN PORTLAND, OREGON AND BEYOND.
Alicia Jo Rabins is a poet, musician and Torah teacher. She is the author of two books of poetry, Fruit Geode and Divinity School (winner of the APR/Honickman First Book Prize), and a book of personal essays about Jewish spirituality and early parenthood, Even God Had Bad Parenting Days. Rabins is the creator and performer of Girls in Trouble, a feminist indie-folk song cycle about women in Torah, and the art film A Kaddish for Bernie Madoff, currently available on-demand in North America. She lives in Portland, OR with her partner, two children, and just-on-the-edge-of-too-many houseplants.
Our events, classes, and seminars bring the community together to hear, learn, and discuss the most compelling issues and ideas of our day. We hope you will join us in our downtown Literary Arts space, online, and at partnering venues across Portland and Oregon.
