Chris Harris

Chris Harris is the New York Times bestselling author of I’m Just No Good at Rhyming: And Other Nonsense for Mischievous Kids and Immature Grown-Ups, illustrated by Lane Smith. His latest book is The Alphabet’s Alphabet, illustrated by Dan Santat. He has been an executive producer for comedies including How I Met Your Mother, and a writer for The Late Show with David Letterman. His pieces have appeared in the New Yorker, Esquire, the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and on NPR. He lives in Los Angeles.

Purchase The Alphabet’s Alphabet from Green Bean Books, one of our Portland-based, independent bookstore partners HERE.

All books purchased through festival events, from Annie Bloom’s Books, BROADWAY BOOKS, Green Bean Books, or Powell’s Books support the authors and publishers who share their work at the festival and the booksellers who have worked hard to keep their businesses open during these difficult times. Please buy early and often and know that by purchasing books you are supporting the sustainability of the festival.

Events, Classes, and Seminars

Our events, classes, and seminars bring the community together to hear, learn, and discuss the most compelling issues and ideas of our day. We hope you will join us in our downtown Literary Arts space, online, and at partnering venues across Portland and Oregon.
