Memoir Foundations: Writing the Truth Without Losing the Thread
$240
Memoir writing asks us to explore emotional truths while also crafting a compelling narrative—and finding that balance can be both powerful and overwhelming. This foundational series is for personal nonfiction writers ready to shape real-life experiences into engaging stories with intention and clarity. Over four sessions, you’ll learn how to identify your memoir’s deeper message, build a strong narrative arc, and make structural choices that serve both your story and your reader. We’ll explore voice, vulnerability, and how to include others in your story ethically and effectively. Each week includes craft lessons, in-class exercises, and group discussion to help you find your thread—and hold onto it.
What to Expect Each Week:
● Mini-lessons on memoir-specific structure, emotional pacing, and narrative cohesion
● Reflective prompts and guided exercises to deepen your storytelling
Ideal For: Writers in the early stages of writing a memoir or personal essay collection who want to establish a strong foundation in both craft and process.
