Emme Lund

Emme Lund is an author living and writing in Portland. She has an MFA from Mills College. Her work has appeared in Electric LiteratureTIME MagazineThe RumpusRomperthe Portland Mercury, and Autostraddle, among many other venues. In 2019, she was awarded an Oregon Literary Arts Fellowship in Fiction. Her debut novel, The Boy with a Bird in His Chest(Atria Books, 2022) was longlisted for the First Novel Prize from the Center For Fiction, was a finalist for an Oregon Book Award,  named a best book of the year by Buzzfeed and The Portland Mercury, and was included on lists in The Washington PostUSA TodayPeople MagazineThe AdvocateCosmopolitan, and Shondaland.

Jessica E. Johnson

Jessica E. Johnson

Jessica E. Johnson (she/they) is the author of the book-length poem Metabolics (Acre Poetry Series), the chapbook In Absolutes We Seek Each Other (New Michigan Press), and the memoir Mettlework (Acre Books). She is interested in inclusive learning environments, knowledge production, radical care, and the relationships between art, friendship, community, and social change. Her poems, essays, and reviews have appeared in The Paris ReviewTin HouseThe New RepublicPoetry NorthwestRiver TeethDIAGRAMThe CommonSixth Finch, and Off Assignment, among others.

Jessica's honors include an Oregon Literary Fellowship and a Best American Essays notable. In Absolutes and Metabolics were finalists for the Oregon Book Award in poetry.

Jessica co-hosts the Constellation Reading Series.
