One Page Wednesday – October
Here is an opportunity to share or listen to one page of work in progress from talented writers from everywhere. Come with a single page of work and sign up to read – or come to listen and prepare to be inspired.
Our host is the one and only, Emme Lund. The featured reader for October is Robin Lane.
Emme Lund
Emme Lund’s debut novel The Boy with a Bird in His Chest was longlisted for the Center for Fiction’s First Novel Prize and was a finalist for the Oregon Book Award. Her work has appeared in Time, Electric Literature, Romper, The Rumpus, and Autostraddle among other venues. Her sophomore novel Run! Run! Run! will be published by Vintage Originals in Spring 2027. She lives in Portland, where she occasionally teaches creative writing at Literary Arts and Portland State University.
Robin Lane
Robin Lane (she/they) is a writer, therapist, educator, and single parent to a busy six-year-old, currently writing from Portland, Oregon. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in The MacGuffin, Beautiful Things, Rooted in Rights, and MoonPark Review, among other outlets. They are grateful to have been supported by the Martha's Vineyard Institute of Creative Writing and Mother's Milk, and a recent recipient of a Parent Media Association Silver Award. When she's not writing, you can find her collecting interesting rocks, pulling tarot cards, learning to play the harmonica, or in the woods marking the Wheel of the Year with her family.
