Rowan Kingsbury: Avery and the Squirrel Delivery

Sat, June 27 from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm PDT

The Literary Arts Bookstore & Cafe is thrilled to welcome 2026 Oregon Book Awards finalist Rowan Kingsbury to celebrate the release of their latest book, Avery and the Squirrel Delivery. This event includes a presentation by Kingsbury and a special craft.

About the book:

A charming and sweet easy-to-read fairy adventure comic that touches on themes of jealousy among friends and helping your community when it is in need

When Avery travels to the fairy world, all manner of curious things could happen – and this time the squirrels of the forest need help!

Avery returns to the fairy world to see her friend Birch, but when she arrives on the first day of fall, it looks like the fairies are busy getting ready for the colder months ahead. With the animals they live alongside needing help in the harsher weather, it’s up to Avery and Birch to deliver much-needed medicine to some local squirrels, and dodge any danger that pops up on their journey!
