WITS Writers Read at 2021 Winter Celebration

Writers in the Schools writers shared their work at the 2021 WITS Writer Winter Reading on Wednesday night, the first in-person WITS event in two years. Eleven writers read and performed their work, including Laura Moulton, Jennifer Perrine, Vanessa Friedman, Monika Cassel, Brian Benson, Alex Behr, Dey Rivers, april joseph, Mark Pomeroy, Meg Griffitts, and Jules Ohman, to an audience of thirty-five people.

Writers read from novels, poems, essays, newly published poetry books and nonfiction books, and played clarinet and chimes.

WITS writers are currently teaching at Parkrose High School, Gresham High School, Benson High School, McDaniel High School, and Franklin High School in fall creative writing residencies that will end in January of 2022.
