2027 Oregon Literary Fellowships Application

Deadline to apply: Friday, August 7. Please read the guidelines before applying. After you submit your application, you will be sent to a confirmation page. The Artist’s Statement and Impact Statement are only required for the Oregon Literary Career Fellowship. All applicants for the Oregon Literary Career Fellowship of $10,000 will automatically be considered for an Oregon Literary Fellowship of $4,000. Applicants can only apply in one genre. Writers who received a fellowship in the years 2021-2025 are not eligible to apply. Note: We contact applicants at the email they provide for updates about the status of their application. If you have unsubscribed from our emails in the past, you will not receive these emails.

  • An Oregon address that is your legal residence is required.
    Only Oregon residents are eligible to apply.
    Students currently enrolled in a creative degree-bearing program, either part- or fulltime, are not eligible

    Please submit your Artist’s Statement here. Your name should appear on your artist’s statement. One page only,typed, double-spaced. This is only required for Career Fellowship applicants. Your artist’s statement should provide an introduction to your work and It may include information about your development as a writer, why you write, your influences and inspirations, and other details.

    Please submit impact statement here. Your name should appear on your impact statement. This is only required for Oregon Literary Career Fellowship Applicants. No more than one page, double-spaced (12-point font). The impact statement explains how this award will make a difference for you; what the funding and recognition will do for you, your work and practice, and describes how you will use the money.
