Mapping Your Nonfiction Book: Outlining Your Idea from Start to Finish

May 3-24, 2025, Saturdays, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (four sessions)

$235

Nonfiction books have the ability to inspire and transform lives. This class series focuses on developing a clear roadmap for memoirs, self-help books, or narrative nonfiction. Through hands-on exercises, participants will outline their projects, identify key themes, and learn techniques for organizing research and storytelling.

By the end of the class, writers will have a comprehensive outline to guide them through the drafting process so that they can write an impactful and inspiring book.

Schedule
Session 1: Defining Your Why – Clarifying Purpose and Audience
Session 2: Building the Spine – Creating a Chapter-by-Chapter Outline
Session 3: Filling in the Gaps – Organizing Research and Personal Narratives
Session 4: Refining Your Plan – Turning Your Outline into a Writing Roadmap

Liaison position
Every in-person class and seminar at Literary Arts has one liaison position. Liaisons perform specific duties for each class meeting. If you are a liaison for a class or seminar, the full amount of your tuition is covered by Literary Arts.
