THE FESTIVAL FROM THE CITY THAT LOVES TO READ
This November marks the return of Portland Book Festival, the largest celebration of books and storytelling in the Pacific Northwest. Throughout the week, festival-goers will fill downtown for packed conversations at the Schnitz, intimate readings, workshops, pop-up events, and more. With bestselling authors, emerging voices, and readers descending on the city, attendees are destined for a festival full of unforgettable conversations and shared experiences.
MORE WAYS TO EXPERIENCE PORTLAND BOOK FESTIVAL
Following a sold-out festival in 2025, Portland Book Festival has evolved into a larger downtown cultural celebration centered around books and storytelling.

WHAT’S NEW: MUSIC, VISUAL ARTS, FOOD & CONVERSATION
From November 2 to 8, the Rose City welcomes readers, writers, artists, musicians, chefs, and storytellers in the heart of Portland for a week of conversations, performances, workshops, dinners, and unexpected experiences inspired by books and storytelling. The festival’s largest gathering takes place on November 7 with more than 100 local, regional, and nationally acclaimed authors gathering for Portland Book Festival in the South Park Blocks.

MEET US IN THE PARK BLOCKS
Portland Book Festival stretches throughout downtown Portland – from the South Park Blocks to neighboring theaters, music venues, restaurants and gathering spaces – inviting audiences to experience stories through literature, music, food, visual art and community.

MADE WITH PORTLAND IN MIND
Collaborations with some of Portland’s leading voices in arts, music, and food shape this year’s Portland Book Festival. Partnering with Oregon Symphony, Feast Portland, Revolution Hall, 45th Parallel Universe, Mississippi Studios, Portland Art Museum, and more, the festival aims to create a celebration reflecting the creativity, curiosity and community spirit of the city we call home.
Keep an eye out later this summer for the announcement of additional partner events and participating authors. In the meantime, here’s a preview of what we’re planning.

FOR READERS WITH GOOD TASTE
Stories don’t end when the conversation is over.
This year, Portland Book Festival expands beyond the page with dinners, tastings, cocktails, and gatherings inspired by books and storytelling. From intimate cookbook-inspired meals to larger culinary events that bring together food, music and performance, this year’s festival serves up new ways to connect around great stories.

PORTLAND BOOK FESTIVAL AFTER DARK
As the sun goes down, the festival continues.
Live music, performances, and evening events throughout downtown Portland spill into the South Park Blocks, creating new opportunities to gather, explore and celebrate creativity. New collaborations with leaders from Portland’s arts, music, and cultural communities will breathe fresh energy into the festival week and the city itself..
