On Saturday, November 9, 2019 the Portland Book Festival offers something for readers (and future readers) of all ages!
This year’s Festival will include 100+ authors, 90+ vendors, 9 stages, 14 writing workshops, dozens of pop-up events throughout the Portland Art Museum, delicious food trucks, and on-site bookstores and author signings.
2019 authors will include Laurie Halse Anderson, Kristen Arnett, Jericho Brown, Jennifer Dugan, Carson Ellis, Gale Galligan, Malcolm Gladwell, Faith Erin Hicks, Jennifer L. Holm, Mitchell S. Jackson, Saeed Jones, Chuck Klosterman, Karl Marlantes, Elizabeth McCracken, Tehlor Kay Mejia, Ibtihaj Muhammad, Daniel José Older, Molly Knox Ostertag, Morgan Parker, Paisley Rekdal, Ambassador Susan Rice, Rainbow Rowell, Karen Russell, Raina Telgemeier, Renée Watson, G. Willow Wilson, and more!
Advance passes are $15 (day-of passes increase to $20) for adults and include a $5 voucher to spend at the extensive book fair, and youth 17 and under or with high school ID attend FREE. All passes include admission to the Portland Art Museum.
If you order your pass online, you can pick up your advance pass at the Portland Art Museum Thursday, November 8 and Friday November 9, between 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., or on Saturday, November 9, the day of the festival at the box office.
Paid workshops include festival admission (no separate pass required). Sign up early for writing workshops here: classes are expected to sell out!
