September 8th is the deadline to enter the Bear Deluxe Magazine Doug Fir Fiction Award. The contest awards a prize of $1,000 & publication in Bear Deluxe Magazine for a short story about the natural world, sense of place, or environmental issues. Jon Raymond will judge.
