Join us in celebrating an evening of readings from local QTBIPOC poets Ally Ang, Genevieve DeGuzman, Jae Nichelle, Ami Patel, and Christopher Rose!

Ally Ang

Ally Ang is the author of Let the Moon Wobble (Alice James Books 2025). A National Endowment for the Arts fellow and MacDowell fellow, Ally’s work has appeared in The RumpusThe Academy of American Poets' Poem-a-Day, The Seattle Met, and elsewhere. Genevieve DeGuzman

Genevieve DeGuzman

Genevieve DeGuzman is the author of Karaoke at the End of the World (JackLeg Press, 2026). An Alice James Award finalist and Tin House alum, she has work in The Adroit Journalphoebe, Poetry NorthwestRHINO, and other publications. She has received the Oregon Literary Fellowship and StoryBoard Fellowship, as well as support from Vermont Studio Center, Poets & Writers, and the Regional Arts & Culture Council. Jae Nichelle

Jae Nichelle

Jae Nichelle (she/her) is the author of God Themselves (Andrews McMeel, 2023) and the chapbook The Porch (As Sanctuary) (YesYes Books, 2019). She was a finalist for a 2023 Ruth Lilly and Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Fellowship and won the inaugural John Lewis Writing Award in poetry from the Georgia Writers Association. She believes in all of our collective ability to contribute to radical change.

Ami Patel

Ami Patel

Ami Patel (she/her) is a 2023/2024 IPRC re/source resident and a 2024 Oregon Literary Fellow in Poetry. Ami's prints and poetry were a part of the 2025 MAC Gallery exhibit "Shift Work." Her poems can be found online and in print, including Beloit Poetry Journal, Tinderbox, and the anthology We The Gathered Heat: Asian American Pacific Islander Poetry, Performance, and Spoken Word. Christopher Rose

Christopher Rose

Christopher Rose is a Black-Filipino writer originally from Seattle, Washington, and currently resides in Hillsboro, Oregon.  He graduated from Central Washington University with a Master of Arts in Literature and completed an MFA in Genre Writing from Western Colorado University. He previously taught composition, literature, and poetry at Portland Community College.
Chris has received grants from the Oregon Arts Commission, Jade District/Midway Artist Placemakers Project, and the Regional Arts and Culture Council. In 2019, he was a recipient of an Oregon Literary Fellowship. He’s completed fellowships at Voices of Our Nations Arts (VONA) and Cave Canem.
His first collection of poetry, Afropunk Blues, will be published by Airlie Press in the summer of 2026.
