Oregon Book Awards submissions
Submissions for the Oregon Book Awards are open. The deadline to submit for 2020 was Monday, September 23, 2019. Books with an original publication date between September 1, 2018 and August 31, 2019 were eligible.
The 2020 Oregon Book Awards finalists will be announced on Monday, January 27, 2020.
The award for Graphic Literature will be awarded in 2020.Publications must have an original publication date between September 1, 2017 and August 31, 2019. There are separate guidelines and entry form for this award. Guidelines and entry form are listed below, in PDF and Word.docx format.

As part of the Oregon Book Awards, Literary Arts offers three awards that recognize significant contributions to Oregon’s literary culture. Guidelines and entry form are listed below.
The Charles Erskine Scott Wood Distinguished Writer Award is presented to an Oregon author in recognition of an enduring, substantial literary career. Past recipients include George Hitchcock, Ken Kesey, Ursula Le Guin and Barry Lopez.
The Stewart H. Holbrook Literary Legacy Award is presented to a person or organization in recognition of significant contributions that have enriched Oregon’s literary community. Past recipients include Doug Spangle, Kim Stafford, Barbara LaMorticella, Marlene Howard, John Laursen, and Matt Love.
The Walt Morey Young Readers Literary Legacy Award is presented to a person or organization in recognition of significant contributions that have enriched Oregon’s young readers. Past recipients include Ulrich Hardt, Carol White, Curtis Kiefer, Read to the Dogs, and Children’s Book Bank.
