This Saturday, November 20th, at 5:00 p.m., Penelope Scambly Schott will be reading at Tsunami Books in Eugene. Penelope’s book Crow Mercies was selected as the winner of the Sarah Lantz Memorial Poetry Book Prize, sponsored by Calyx Press. In 2008, Schott won the Stafford/Hall Award for her book A is For Anne: Mistress Anne Disturbs the Commonwealth.
Sunday, November 21st at 7:30 p.m, Mary Rechner will be reading at Powell’s Books in Portland. Mary is a previous Oregon Literary Fellowship recipient and the director of the Writers in the Schools Program. Mary will be reading from her book Nine Simple Patterns for Complicated Women.
Monday, November 22nd at 7:30 p.m., Oregon’s Poet Laureate Paulann Petersen will be reading at Annie Bloom’s books. Paulann will read from her new book The Voluptuary. On Tuesday, November 23rd at 7:00 p.m., she’ll be reading at Broadway Books in Portland.
