This fall, Writers in the Schools (WITS) pivoted to an online model. Writers have taught in virtual classrooms over Google Meet and Zoom all semester at four public high schools, and provided students with video lessons to work on their creative writing outside of class.
Students from Benson High School, Gresham High School, Madison High School and Parkrose High School will share their work from WITS residencies at virtual readings this winter. We invite you to attend these readings, hosted on Zoom, which will feature WITS writers, students, and teachers! Spread the word and listen to some wonderful student poems, short stories, essays, journalism, and other work.
