Recipient of the 2023 Ken Kesey Award in Fiction, Sindya Bhanoo, and 2024 finalist Marcelle Heath will speak about their works at the Linfield Nicholson Library, as part of the Oregon Book Awards Author Tour.

Sindya Bhanoo

Sindya Bhanoo is fiction writer and journalist. Her debut collection Seeking Fortune Elsewhere won the New American Voices Award. In 2021, she won an O. Henry Prize. She has worked for The New York Times and The Washington Post and currently teaches creative writing and journalism at Oregon State University.

Marcelle Heath

Marcelle Heath

Marcelle Heath is the author of the story collection, Is That All There Is? (Awst Press, 2022). Her stories have appeared in Joyland, Kenyon Review, Little Fiction, matchbook, and elsewhere. She curates Apparel for Authors, an interview series that explores writing, clothing, and identity. Marcelle lives with her family in Portland.
